Our Story
Where Coffee Meets Compassion
Dusty Rose Coffee Roasters was born from two lifelong passions — coffee and horses — and a single, unforgettable flower.
It started at a friend’s wedding. I noticed the beautiful, muted pink petals scattered across their coffee bar — the flower was called Dusty Rose. The name stuck with me. It felt soft, earthy, and timeless.
That’s when I remembered a horse I’d once met: a rescued Appaloosa mare named Dusty Rose. Her quiet strength and gentle spirit had left a mark on me.
I didn’t set out to make this connection — but looking back, it’s clear that coffee and horses were always part of who I am.
I spent years working as a personal waiter at the Meadowlands Racetrack in New Jersey, serving the drivers, trainers, and owners in their private suites. I wasn’t in the saddle, but I was close — close enough to see the bond people had with their horses. That stayed with me.
Back home, my mornings always start the same: a bold triple espresso and a moment to breathe. I’ve always loved good coffee, and eventually, I realized I could bring all these threads together — the flower, the horse, the ritual, the respect. That’s how Dusty Rose Coffee Roasters was born.
Our logo tells that story too: a horseshoe made of coffee beans, with Dusty at the center, and three Dusty Rose flowers at the base — representing the horse, the coffee, and me.
We’re not a big corporation. We’re not a nonprofit. We’re just a small business with a big heart — roasting honest coffee and helping horses however we can. Every bag you buy supports our rescue efforts — from feed and vet care to awareness and outreach.
Dusty may no longer be in my life, and I don’t know where she is today — but her spirit lives on in this brand. She will always be the face and soul of Dusty Rose Coffee Roasters.
