This single-origin coffee comes from small family farms in the highlands of Chiapas, Mexico. Grown at elevations between 900 and 1000 meters, these beans are fully washed and sun-dried when possible, with mechanical drying used only when needed.
The cup offers a smooth, balanced experience with notes of raisin, caramel, and milk chocolate. It features average acidity, above-average body, and a naturally sweet finish that lingers just long enough to make you want another sip.
Whether brewed in a French press, drip machine, or pour-over, this coffee delivers a reliable and comforting cup. It’s perfect for anyone who enjoys a medium-bodied roast with gentle complexity and inviting sweetness.
At Dusty Rose Coffee Roasters, we take pride in sourcing coffees that carry the stories of the farms, families, and regions they come from. This Chiapas roast is no exception. Every bag is roasted fresh with care and purpose — so each cup you brew brings you a little closer to the source, and to one happy horse at a time.
This roast captures the heart of what we do — fresh, small-batch coffee with meaningful stories behind every bean. It’s a customer favorite for a reason.

I have tried and enjoyed multiple varieties from this local roaster. The coffee is rich and smooth without bitterness. The date roasted is listed on the bags and I love that it is not only from a local, family run business but that it is also fresh! My favorite so far is their Mexican Roast!
